Branding and logo design in Kingston

Your sign maker asked for a vector file, and all you had was a screenshot

The brand sheet fixes that: a new or refreshed logo, with colours and type, written down on one page anyone who prints for you can follow.

Who this is for

The business whose logo was made in a word processor a decade ago and has been stretched onto everything since. The new business that needs a mark before the storefront opens.

A logo that blurs on a business card and changes colour on the truck makes a business look smaller than it is. People decide whether you’re established before they read a word.

What you get

  • A logo, new or refreshed

Drawn for your business, never pulled from a template. A simple new mark, or your current logo redrawn to hold up at every size.

  • Colours that work in print and on a phone

A small palette with exact values for screen and for ink, chosen so text stays readable.

  • Type that matches

One or two typefaces, with which does the headlines and which does the small print.

  • The one-page brand sheet

Logo, colours, type and the rules for combining them, on one page. Hand it to a printer and the job comes back right.

  • Files in the formats people actually ask for

Vector files for print and signage, plus web-ready versions, in colour and in black and white.

  • A short list of what to make next

Which design assets would help your business most, in order.

How it goes

  1. A call

Twenty minutes, free. Bring what you have, even a napkin sketch or a logo you’re tired of.

  2. A fixed quote

One quote and a date for the final files. It holds unless you add to the scope.

  3. Directions, then rounds

You pick from a few directions, then we refine the one you chose, shown on a sign and a business card.

  4. The sheet and the files

The one-page brand sheet and every file format, all of it yours.

Things people ask about branding

Do I need a new logo, or just a better version of mine?

If customers already recognize your logo, a refresh is usually right: the shape stays and we redraw it to work at every size. Feed the People kept theirs for exactly that reason. If your mark is holding you back, we’ll say so on the call.

I have no idea what I want it to look like. Is that a problem?

No. Most people arrive that way. The first round shows you a few directions to react to. For a head start, our free Brand Compass narrows down a direction in a few minutes.

What formats will I get?

Vector files for print and signage, web-ready files for your site and social accounts, in colour and in black and white. If a supplier asks for something unusual, send us the request.

Does this include a website?

No, the brand sheet is its own job, and the right first step before a website. Your business is unique, so your design, code and copy should be too: our sites are custom-built with no template underneath, and you edit the words yourself.

Who owns the logo afterwards?

You do, outright. Use it on anything, forever, with no credit to us required.
